Thank you for joining us for today’s performance — it’s a joy to have you here.

As a creative-run company, we pride ourselves on being nimble, process-centred, and artist-focused. This approach allows us to do things a little differently. Above all, we get to celebrate and support the extraordinary talent of our artists, trusting in their individual brilliance to tell stories in ways only they can. It is their passion, dedication, and artistry that make moments like these possible.

Of course, none of this would happen without the incredible contributions of our technicians, donors, and supporters who believe in our wildest dreams and help bring them to life. To all of you, we extend our deepest gratitude for believing in us — and in opera itself.

Opera is, admittedly, a mixed bag. It’s bold, emotional, and sometimes unpredictable. But that’s exactly what makes it so wonderful. It’s a celebration of life in all its complexity, and we hope that this performance moves you, lifts you up, and reminds you of the magic of coming together to share these moments.

As the metaphorical curtain rises today, we invite you to learn more about our work and our vision — details can be found below. And don’t forget to keep an eye out for our upcoming performances; we have many more stories to tell, dreams to share, and joy to spread. Our featured visual artist Yuting has created a lovely little ‘zine in place of a printed house programme, and we encourage all of you to send the pre-stamped postcard inserted into the booklets to your loved ones during this holiday season.
