Adonic Derek Lo

Adonic Lo graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Lighting Design. Since graduation, he has worked as a freelancer in various kinds of production, including local and overseas performing groups.  

Lo has mainly focused on lighting design these past years, including in Drama, Musicals, Operas, Dance, Concerts etc. Recent works include: 

“The Abduction from the Seraglio”,  “Opera Gala 2023”, “Così fan tutte x The Magic Flute”, “The Marriage of Figaro”, “Cavalleria Rusticana & Pagliacci”, “The Magic Flute” and “Suor Angelica & Gianni Schicchi” by Opera Hong Kong;  

“Carmen by G. Bizet” (Outreach), “The Marriage of Figaro” by MusicaViva;  

 “Matteo Ricci The Musical”(2024 Re-Run) by Inter Cultural Dialogue;

Other than theatre, Lo has also designed for some Exhibitions and Theme Parks such as “Ocean Park Halloween Bash” (Haunted House Interior Lighting Design). Lo is also a freelance tutor for Primary/ Secondary School and The Education University of Hong Kong. 

畢業於香港演藝學院，主修燈光設計。多年來積極參與本地及海外製作，以自由身身份擔任燈光設計及總電機師等崗位，遊走於設計與技術之間。 

近年來主要專注於燈光設計方面，製作類型包括戲劇、舞蹈、音樂劇、歌劇、戲曲、主題公園及演唱會等。近期設計作品包括： 

香港歌劇院「後宮誘逃」、「歌劇薈萃2023」、「女人皆如此 X 魔笛」、「費加洛的婚禮」、「鄉村騎士 X 丑角」、「魔笛」、「修女安潔莉卡 X 賈尼.斯基基」 

非凡美樂「假園丁」、「卡門」、「費加洛的婚禮」； 

文化交談「《利瑪竇》音樂劇 (2024 重演)」、 

香港舞台技術及設計人員協會「科藝藝術節2024」、「科藝藝術節2022」； 

香港音樂劇藝術學院「会社人間 (2024 重演)」、「兄弟」、「Side by Side by Sondheim」；
